Widget's available restrictions and setup

Sofcar booking engine allows the pre-configuration to set specific restrictions to its results and visibility. 

To set your preferences, sign in into your Sofcar's account and access Setup > Integrations > Booking Engine editing menu. 

This dashboard provides an editing menu from which you will establish or modify your booking engine settings, it is divided in several sub-menus: 

Current Settings 
Hereby you will find a summary of the settings affecting your widget's performance already defined in your platform.

Searcher 

Hereby you will be able to set features such as: Default pick up location in search engines, Default time on search engines, Minimum hours previous to the booking, Maximum duration of the booking (hours), Minimum duration of the booking (Hours) or Pick-up and Drop-off time slots at search engine (minutes). 

Results 

Hereby you will be able to set features and restrictions such as:  Show Groups without availability, Show gallery model in the results list, Show model gallery in fleet list, Activate prices sorted from highest to lowest,  Hide Booking summary in the search results, Hide option "or similar" or Show price/day in booking process.

Notifications 

Hereby you will be able to activate an option to send a notification of new booking to the email of the pick-up location to locations with a defined inbound email whenever they are chosen by the customer in a booking.

 

Customer Area

If you have the Customer Area Extension, hereby you will be able to activate an option that prevents customer duplication in your data base by checking if either its ID document or its e-mail already exist in the system. 

Other options

Hereby you will be able to activate a General stop sales to prevent new bookings from your rental website, establish a Minimum age for booking or a Minimum license age (Years) defining the minimum years of license required for the main driver and additional drivers.

 

Keep in mind that the setting of booking options will be only applied in online booking processes via your embeddable widget or template website. The Manual booking from your dashboard will not be affected by any of these restrictions.
